Oh So Literal.

Never tell your toddler, "The sun broke out of the clouds!  WooHoo, Let's go for our walk!"

Ceal's face crumbled.  "The sun is brokted?"

I have had to explain roughly 50 times this morning, "No honey, I didn't mean the sun broke, I meant the sun came through the clouds."

She wakes us from her nap. "I just can't believe the sun is brokted."

My fun Marm.

Ceal loves her some Marm. She talks on the phone and says:

"What Steve? Oh No, Marm tripped over the paint and she fell!?"

Mommy, Marm is sick! She tripped over paint and fell.

After all, Marm is just a big kid. And Ceal loves kids.

Sebastian is 8 months!

I realize I am his mother, but could he be any more handsome? I mean, come on?

My precious boy is 8 months. I haven't slept in 8 months.

Sebastian is roughly 24 pounds and likes to be held all day long. He grabs my face and smiles the cutest smile you.have.ever.seen.

Cealy and Sebastian are still best friends.

Sebastian is rocking on his knees, but not crawling yet. His chub is keeping him from absolute freedom.

He sits in his high chair in the morning, while I clean up a bit and get him breakfast. Anytime I look up he is staring at me and smiling. I mean, who could ask for more?

I just love this child.

Happy Birthday Ceal?

Ceal's teachers asked that summer birthdays be celebrated this month. School is ending next month, and they wanted to be sure to celebrate all the birthdays. I thought it would totally confuse Cealy, but what a sweet idea?

Ceal was not the quite bit confused. She kept saying they are celebrating my birthday, but it is not my birthday yet...So I was confused but she wasn't.

I Love her school and Love the sweet little yummy yams in her class. Drew is her best buddy there. She also loves Madeline and Megan. Madeline celebrated her birthday on this day too!

Ceal read her favorite Nursery Rhymes to the class. I thought she would chicken out but sure enough she was loud and proud. Sebastian came too, and was doused in kisses and hugs from Ceal's friends.

The Diamond Room.

I think I'll call the Dining Room the Diamond Room for the rest of my life...

Ceal likes to say the names of the rooms she is going to or is in for some reason.

"Bye, I'm going to the library room." Which is her book room.

Last week Ceal said, "Mommy, come watch me, I'm in the Diamond Room!"

I had to ask her again, because I couldn't understand, and sure enough she calls the dining room the Diamond Room, which is what it shall me called from now on.

The innocence of my Ceal.

I love the innocence of a two year old. I love the small things that make them so happy. I love how going to home depot is like going to Disney.

Ceal is so innocent. She is asking so many questions lately. She tells me it makes her "kinda sad" when I ask her to clean the book room or help fold the laundry. I can't help laughing, giving her a kiss, and then making her clean the book room.

Her imagination is so fun. We do not watch T.V. during the day, so when I am off cooking or cleaning, she has to think of all the different things to do. At first I always felt she must be so bored, or I need to give her something to do, but then I started watching her make things up.

I just love two years old. She will be three in July, and I hope this innocence continues for a long time.

She just saw a picture of her friend, Taylor, whom she prays for every night. Taylor had on a mask on the playground, because she is fighting cancer. Ceal said, "Mommy, I want a mask. Please mommy, I want one. Taylor is so cute, Mommy." Taylor is beyond cute.

I have been telling Ceal all I can about Taylor. She asks about her often, because we pray often. Then we went to Drew's (Taylor's cousin) house today, and Ceal said, "But Taylor won't be at Drew's mommy?" And I said, "Not today Ceal, but soon, very soon."

"I'm feeling kinda sad."

Ceal will say, "I'm just feeling kinda sad," just loud enough so that I will hear her from the kitchen. I know just where to walk and find her as this is her stair when feeling sad.

I ask, "Why are you feeling sad Ceal?"

Ceal says, "My friends can't go camping, and that kinda hurts my feelings."

I am puzzled at what to say at this point. So I say, "Well I am sorry, but you can help me and brother fold the laundry."

She comes in a couple of minutes later...

And says, "Bye mommy, I'm going camping with my friends. I am so happy."

A giggle a day...

Keeps the doctor away...I wish.

Ear infection meds...Sebastian hates these meds. Ceal loves them. She cried and said she too had an ear infection, so PLEASE give her some amox. I had to give her water in the medicine dispenser.

My Ella.

This is Ceal with her bestie, Ella. They are goofy all day long even when I turn on a show for them. Ella's mom is one of my best friends, Courtney. When Ella was born, I remember holding her and being in shock that my best friend had such a beautiful baby girl. Courtney was brushing her hair on the day she was born. I absolutely love her. Then I had Ceal, and her and Ella played together since Ceal could walk. Now Ceal asks her to come over everyday. Ella is a year older than Ceal, so Courtney always laughs that if Ceal gets in trouble for something, go to Ella first. They will be quite the adventure for Courtney and I.
