Mother's Day 2012.

Mother's Day Tea!

Cealy and Drew playing at school.  Cealy loves Drew.  He lives in our neighborhood, and we get to play most every week!

I love this picture of the babes with Mammaw.  We cooked out for Mother's Day, and our precious Mammaw brought gifts.

I take raising Cealy and Sebastian serious.  I want to have lots of fun with them along the way, but I think really raising them into compassionate, caring, able, hardworking people is a serious job.  Raising a girl and a boy is quite the same.  Sure Sebastian likes cars and loud noises, and Cealy sure loves her dolls, but I pick up Sebastian when he falls and kiss him a thousand times, just as I do my Cealy.  I don't want him to think he has to toughen up, and never cry when he feels sad.  Cealy helps me cook and do the laundry.  You best believe that when Sebastian is two, he will be doing the same thing.

My hopes and dreams for these two loves are to give them a strong sense of who they are and where they came from.  To not judge their neighbor or friend.  I hope they will be confident people. Confident in their relationships with friends, loves, and God.

Cealy's Prayers.

Cealy says her prayers each night.

She always ends them thanking him for certain people.

Last night she ended thanking God for her eyebrows.

When I looked at her crazy, she said, "What? I just really like them."

Don't Skip that Word.

You know when your kids get old enough they notice you skip pages when you read a really long book...

Well Cealy has not only makes sure Danny and I don't skip a single page, we have to say every word...

I was reading, Alexander and the Terrible, No Good, Very Bad, Day.  It is a good book, but a long one.  When you have to read 50 books a day, it is nice and sweet to have a short one.  So knowing Ceal I read each page but I skip a couple of lines.

I read the last page and then closed the book.

"Nope, you forgot somethin."

"What?"

"He bit his tongue when he went to bed, you forgot to read that part."

I am in big trouble.

Be a Witness.

Sunday was an amazing service.  There are times when I feel I was suppose to be right where I am, at that moment, in that time...exactly.  The sermon was about being a witness.  Be a witness for God.  Stop looking up into Heaven and wondering when you will see him.  Look into the faces of those people around you, because he is right there.  He is right there inside your friend who does not necessary believe in him.  He is right there in the clerk's face when you are tapping your foot and not making eye contact in order to hurry her up.  There is a book that I do not remember the title to, but has testimony of various people bearing witness around them.  The woman working in the inner city.  The man educating in Africa.  The taxi cab driver's story:

It was 2:30am when he got a call.  He figured he was going to pick up some late night partiers? He pulled into the driveway, honked once and was about to pull away.  Something told him to go to the door and he did.  There stood an elderly frail woman with a suitcase.  "Can you take me to the hospital?"  And so the taxi cab driver took her suitcase and helped her into the car.  "Could you take me through downtown first?"  "Well sure, but that is not the fastest route?"  He answered.  "I am the last of my family, and my doctor has asked me to check into hospice. I have little time left, but I wanted to see some of the last places I was really happy."  And so the taxi driver turned the meter off and drove this woman around downtown.  They visited her dance studio where she danced as a little girl.  They went to the church were she married the love of her life.  When he dropped her off and the nurses came out to help her check in, she went to pay him.  He nodded for no money and said, "Mam, I was honored to take you around this morning, and I will remember this moment until I die."

He wrote that he was suppose to be there in that moment.  He was alive for that very reason, to bear witness to this woman's life.

Everyday is a gift.  I will continue to bear witness for God and Jesus as I live each day.  Looking into the faces of my children, showing them how to treat those around you, and seeing God and Jesus in everything we do.

Love This Life.

We went to the zoo!  Cealy loved the dolphin show! She did not love the monkeys, something is weird with monkeys lately...

Sebastian just sat in the wagon the whole time, and did not make a peep. He is the BEST baby!
This is where Cealy dropped her Dora IceCream. "Wait, what happened?"

Aunt Jessie.  Cealy is obsessed.  She is the world's best.  I am the most blessed with her in my life.

Sebastian is 9 months.  He is the cutest boy on this earth.  He is crawling!  He is fast.  He claps and laughs most of the day.  Cealy cannot get enough of him either.  I don't know his weight, but I am guessing it is about 25lbs. He is huge!  He eats pancakes, lasagna, bagels, fruit, avacados, and sweet potatoes.  I LOVE this age.  He is a snuggler and holds my face when I pick him up!  Sebastian loves the wagon.  Today we went to the zoo, and I never heard a peep out of him.  Just rode along and wanted food some of the time.  He sleeps!  Thank you God.  It only took 8 months.  He has 8 teeth. Shark baby?  Oh, the love I have for this child.

Life is busy, but life is wonderful.

When Ceal says, "Look Mommy I am so strong!"

Respond Immediately.

Poor Sebastian.

1,000 Kisses isn't enough.

 I don't like grass.

Don't ask about the letter but I was doing a project, and away he ate...

Kids don't have to blow bubbles these days...even these are automatic.

Sebastian gets thousands of kisses a day between Cealy and I.  I will be across the room and see his delicious cheeks and going running to kiss them.

Sebastian is crawling.  I can't do anything.  He is fast.  He is the happiest and smiliest baby.  I hug and kiss him so many times a day that I can't stay away longer than his naps. Of course there are my moments, my 5:40am screaching call this morning was not my favorite.  I spent the night with my mom and played cards with her and my Aunt Pam.  We had the best time, but I didn't go to bed until way too late.  So when Sebastian wants to rise so early in the am, it is one long.day.
